Identification & Interdiction of Contraband for Corrections

This course will provide Correctional Staff the ability
to recognize and identify various types of contraband, narcotics, weapons, and
cellular phones, which are commonly smuggled inside Juvenile and Adult
Corrections facility. Numerous methods of smuggling techniques used by inmates
and the organized methods of sales and distribution of contraband within the
Corrections facility will be discussed. An emphasis will be placed on
investigation and searching techniques for drugs, weapons, contraband, and
weapons to reduce or eliminate contraband in Juvenile and Adult Correctional
facilities.
