This course
illustrates the methods of cultivation and development of informants, which is
commonly referred to as “Human Intelligence Development”. This 8-hour course will focus on interviewing techniques, how to effectively cultivate Informants,
developing a case involving Informants. How to effectively gather intelligence during the cultivation and
development process will be demonstrated. The various types of Informants
(including gang informants), reliability issues, legal issue, liability
associated with informants, contracts, agreements and protection issues will be
examined. This is an excellent class for anyone involved in Corrections,
Patrol, Investigations, Narcotics and Supervisors and includes a Basic Informant Development
Manual. Typically,
this course includes a special guest speaker who was an actual high-level
Informant.
